    EBT Card

A debit-style card issued to recipients of SNAP (food stamps) and in some states cash assistance (TANF), allowing them to purchase eligible food and goods at authorized retailers.

SNAP EBT can be used at most grocery stores, farmers markets, and some online retailers (Amazon, Walmart). WIC benefits are separate from SNAP and are managed through a different EBT-style card in most states.

If your EBT card is stolen and benefits are fraudulently used, you may be eligible for reimbursement under the SNAP Stolen Benefits program.
